1 What is the Ambassadors’ Alliance?
  • The Ambassadors' Alliance is a global alliance of churches, para-church ministries, and individual Christians who share the common vision of fulfilling the Great Commission and inspiring in every Christian a God-glorifying passion to do the same. All members of the alliance—whether church, para-church ministry, or individual Christian—are committed to using the Law of God to help the unbeliever recognize their true spiritual condition and their need for the Savior, and to present the entirety of the gospel in a biblical way.

2 Why now?
  • One of Ray Comfort's great passions is to equip every Christian to reach a lost world with the gospel. This passion and this vision are not new. As the Lord has seen fit to bless Living Waters over these many years, the Ambassadors’ Alliance is the next logical and necessary step in the growth and maturation of the Living Waters & Way of the Master Australia ministry.
  • We at Living Waters & the Way of the Master Australia see the formation of the Ambassadors' Alliance as timely and in keeping with our ministry's vision to inspire in every Christian a God-glorifying passion to fulfill the Great Commission.

3 What kind of leadership structure will the Ambassadors’ Alliance have?
  • While Living Waters will oversee every aspect of membership in the Ambassadors' Alliance, reserving the right to include and/or remove churches, para-church ministries, and individuals from the Alliance, Living Waters will not impose a "top-down" leadership structure upon members of the Alliance. We firmly believe the Bible mandates that all spiritual authority is in Christ. And, in His Word, Christ has tasked the local church with providing spiritual leadership and direction to His Body on earth.
  • Picture, if you will a wheel. Living Waters and the Ambassadors' Alliance will serve as the hub of the wheel. Each member of the Alliance, whether church, para-church ministry, or individual, will serve as spokes in the wheel, with each spoke carrying no more and certainly no less importance than any other spoke. The spokes are then connected to the outer rim of the wheel which, for purposes of this illustration, represents the world—the saved and the unsaved. Living Waters and the Ambassadors' Alliance, by serving as the hub of the wheel, helps to connect each spoke to one another and to the world, while facilitating the evangelistic movement of each member in the same, unified direction.
  • At the moment, Way of the Master Australia has no plans to institute an "area leader" structure within the Alliance. Each individual member will be responsible to serve as an ambassador of the Lord Jesus Christ—just as every Christian is responsible to do. And the ambassador's primary source of spiritual accountability and leadership is, again, his or her local church leadership.

4 How are people picked to attend the Ambassadors’ Academy?
  • All prospective candidates for the Ambassadors' Academy will complete an application, be interviewed by the Director of the Ambassadors' Alliance Australia (in person or by phone), and undergo a pastoral and personal reference check.
  • Prospective candidates need to be familiar with Living Waters & the Way of the Master Australia and the biblical evangelism principles the ministry employs, as well as be in agreement with the Way of the Master Australia Statement of Faith. Participants in each Academy will consist of a diverse group of people from varied backgrounds. One need not be an experienced evangelist to apply and participate in the Ambassadors' Academy.
  • Those qualified candidates who are not selected for the current Academy will be given an opportunity to participate in a future Academy.

5 So, what should I expect if I attend the Ambassadors’ Academy?
  • Extensive training and fellowship, including instruction from John Legg (Director of Way of the Master Australia), and other hand picked leaders.
  • Three days of street evangelism at some of the best locations in Melbourne Australia.
  • Individualized mentoring by evangelists, hand-picked by Way of the Master Australia, for their giftedness and experience in open-air preaching and one-on-one evangelism.
  • Accommodations in a comfortable hotel, and the best fellowship one can experience.
  • The commitment of the Living Waters family to serve you with love and care and with a genuine desire to help you become the ambassador for Christ God has called you to be. Join us in echoing the call of the Great Commission!
  • Upon completion of the Ambassadors' Academy, each participant will become an official member of the Ambassadors' Alliance and receive the following:
    • Up to 10% discount on all Living Waters resources and Way of the Master Resources, for as long as they are a member of the Ambassadors' Alliance.
    • An Ambassadors' Alliance website member page (similar to a "myspace" page) for their
      exclusive use.
    • All of the benefits of partnering with other Alliance members for the purpose of furthering the gospel.
6 Why can't I stay in a hotel of my own choosing or at home (if I live in Melbourne) so that Way of the Master Australia can reduce my cost to attend the Ambassadors' Academy?
Due to the nature of the training, the numerous logistical considerations surrounding the Academy, and our desire to maintain consistency and equity with all of our participants, we cannot accommodate special requests to stay at other hotels or locations.  We will require all participants, regardless of their geographic proximity to the hotel and/or Way of the Master Australia, to stay at our chosen hotel.  We understand that cost will be a factor for some. And we have worked diligently to determine an appropriate price. Way of the Master Australia is a non-profit organization. In fact, the likelihood of unforeseen additional operating expenses may prove that hosting the Ambassadors' Academy will cost the ministry money. But we are so committed to the vision of the Ambassadors' Alliance and the Ambassadors' Academy, it is a cost we are willing to pay.
6 I am an experienced evangelist and I have received a good deal of training.  Can I join the Ambassadors' Alliance without attending the Ambassadors' Academy?
Undoubtedly, there will be many experienced evangelists who will want to join the Ambassadors' Alliance.  And we thank God for that!  However, in order to maintain continuity within the membership of the Ambassadors' Alliance, all prospective members of the Alliance will be required to attend the Ambassadors' Academy, regardless of their previous evangelism training and/or experience, before being recognized as an Ambassador in the Alliance.  In the near future, we will provide an "associate membership" to accommodate those who are either unable or have yet to participate in the Ambassadors' Academy, but want to avail themselves to the encouragement, fellowship, and resources the Ambassadors' Alliance will provide.
6 How often will Way of the Master Australia and the Ambassadors' Alliance host the Ambassadors' Academy?
As often as viably possible.  Our goal is to train as many new Ambassadors as we can.  Once multiple future dates are announced, prospective participants can apply for a date that best accommodates their schedule.
6 If I am not selected to participate in the current Academy, do I need to reapply?
No.  All applications are kept on file.  Those who qualify to participate in the Ambassadors' Academy, but are not selected to participate in the current Academy, will be given an opportunity to participate in a future Academy.
6 How can my church get involved in the Ambassadors’ Alliance?
  • Within the framework of the Ambassadors' Alliance, participating churches are known as "Embassies."
  • Each prospective Embassy church will complete an application for membership in the Ambassadors' Alliance. A pastor or designated representative of the church will also be interviewed by the Director of the Ambassadors’ Alliance (by phone or in person).
  • An Embassy is a church whose leadership and/or designated members have participated in an Ambassadors' Academy.
  • An Embassy is a church that has commissioned an Ambassadors' Academy graduate to serve as the church's Ambassadors' Alliance liaison. This ambassador, at the discretion and under the authority of the church's leadership, will lead and/or facilitate biblical evangelism training and activities within the church.
  • An embassy church is one that agrees with the Living Waters Statement of Faith and employs the biblical evangelism principles taught by Living Waters in a manner consistent with the philosophical distinctions of the church and the culture the church is trying to reach.
  • Embassy churches will provide regular classes that teach biblical evangelism principles to their church family, and there will be an active evangelism team and/or ministry in the church.
  • A church's membership in the Ambassadors' Alliance is not an official, blanket endorsement by Living Waters of neither the church nor all of the church's theological and philosophical positions. An Embassy church has simply met the membership requirements listed above.
  • Beyond participation in the Ambassadors' Alliance, Living Waters assumes no authority whatsoever over any Embassy church.
  • Living Waters reserves the right to remove any Embassy church from the Ambassadors' Alliance if a church is not in compliance with the Ambassadors' Alliance membership requirements, or for any other reason determined to be in the best interest of Living Waters and the Ambassadors' Alliance.

7 I lead a para-church ministry.  How can my ministry participate in the Ambassadors’ Alliance?
  • Para-church ministries that participate in the Ambassadors' Alliance are known as "Allies."
  • Each prospective Ally ministry will complete an application for membership in the Ambassadors' Alliance. A ministry leader will also be interviewed by the Director of the Ambassadors' Alliance (by phone or in person).
  • An Ally is a ministry whose leadership and/or designated representatives have participated in an Ambassadors' Academy.
  • An Ally is a ministry that has commissioned an Ambassadors' Academy graduate to serve as the ministry's Ambassadors' Alliance liaison. This ambassador, at the discretion and under the authority of the ministry's leadership, will lead and/or facilitate biblical evangelism training and activities for the ministry.
  • Allied ministries are those ministries that agree with the Living Waters Statement of Faith and employ the biblical evangelism principles taught by Living Waters in a manner consistent with the philosophical distinctions of the ministry and the culture the ministry is trying to reach.
  • Allied ministries will encourage their supporters to employ biblical evangelism principles.
  • A ministry's membership in the Ambassadors' Alliance is not an official, blanket endorsement by Living Waters of neither the ministry nor all of the ministry's theological and philosophical positions. An Ally ministry has simply met the membership requirements listed above.
  • Beyond participation in the Ambassadors' Alliance, Living Waters assumes no authority whatsoever over any Ally ministry.
  • Living Waters reserves the right to remove any Ally ministry from the Ambassadors' Alliance if a ministry is not in compliance with the Ambassadors' Alliance membership requirements, or for any other reason determined to be in the best interest of Living Waters and the Ambassadors' Alliance.

8 Will the Ambassadors’ Alliance have a website and/or online message board?
  • Yes. The Ambassadors' Alliance website is now up and running. Our hope is that the site will be a great encouragement and a wealth of solid, biblical information regarding evangelism. We also hope that the site will serve as a consistent conduit of information regarding everything related to Living Waters and the Ambassadors’ Alliance.
  • The site will include pages that will provide contact information for all Alliance embassies and allies.
  • The Ambassador's Alliance message board, otherwise known as the "Ambassadors' Adventures," will accommodate three levels of participation: guest, associate member, and Ambassador.
    • Guests
      1. Guests will be allowed to visit most areas on the site. This will afford guests the opportunity to glean valuable insights from member adventures and comments by other members; learn about Alliance-related breaking news, upcoming Academy dates, and evangelism events and opportunities around the world; and find information about embassy churches and ally ministries.
      2. Guests will not be able to post adventures or comment on adventures.
      3. Guests will not be required to login.
    • Associate Members
      1. Associate Members will have all of the privileges of guests, with the following important addition. Associate Members will have the privilege of posting comments on Ambassadors adventures. This will afford Associate Members the ability to participate in online conversations with Ambassadors.
      2. Prospective Associate Members will be required to complete an online application in order to receive Associate Member status.
      3. Associate Members will be issued a login name and password.
    • Ambassadors
      1. Ambassadors are those who have completed the Ambassadors' Academy and/or have served as a mentor during an Academy. Ambassadors will have full access to the Ambassadors' Adventures site, which will include their own "myspace"-type page, where they can post their personal testimony, audios, videos, photos, prayer request, and information regarding upcoming events and activities.
      2. Ambassadors will be issued a login name and password.
