"Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God" (2 Corinthians 5:20).
Living Waters has commissioned a brand new outreach of the ministry. This new outreach is called the Ambassadors' Alliance. It has always been the vision of Ray Comfort and the Living Waters team to provide intensive evangelism training for Christians, regardless of their level of experience. We desire to bring churches, para-church ministries, and individual Christians together for the purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission and inspiring in every Christian a God-glorifying passion to do the same.
Purpose
To glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to edify the genuine body of Christ, and to reach the lost of this world with the Law and the Gospel the way Jesus and the apostles did.
Goal
To further equip Christians around the world to be bold ambassadors of Jesus Christ by providing intensive, three-day training seminars, ongoing discipleship, and networking—encompassing every aspect of ministry and training provided by Way of the Master Australia.
Vision
Ambassadors of Christ of all ages and every walk of life, in every community and on every street, denying themselves, taking up their crosses daily, and proclaiming the Law and the gospel; inspiring a God-glorifying passion in every Christian to fulfill the Great Commission, resulting in world-wide revival.
The Ambassadors' Alliance will include Embassies (churches), Allies (para-church ministries), Agencies (those ministries directly associated with Living Waters), and, of course, ambassadors.
Ambassadors:
An ambassador is a person who serves as a representative or envoy of a king from one country to another. An ambassador of Jesus Christ is a person who has received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and who serves the King of kings and the Lord of lords. The primary function of Christ's ambassadors is to bring the King’s message (the Gospel) from the Kingdom of God to the kingdom of this lost and fallen world.
For the purposes of the Ambassadors’ Alliance, an ambassador is a Christian who has met all of the basic membership requirements and has attended and successfully completed the Ambassadors' Academy.
Embassies:
An embassy is a church, completely independent of Living Waters, which is recognized by Living Waters as a church that ascribes to biblical evangelism and whose leadership and/or delegates have attended and successfully completed the Ambassadors' Academy. These churches will also maintain regular evangelism training for their members, as well as a viable and aggressive evangelism ministry within the framework of the church
Allies:
An ally is a para-church ministry not directly affiliated with or accountable to Living Waters but meets the requirements of recognized embassies.
How the Alliance Will Function:
Picture each of these elements, if you will, as sturdy spokes in a large wheel, with the Ambassadors' Alliance (representing Living Waters) as the hub of the wheel. Each spoke carries no less and no more importance than another. And the hub simply serves to connect the spokes to one another and to the outer rim of the wheel, which represents a lost world in desperate need of the Gospel—the power of God to salvation.
Each component of the wheel, when functioning properly, works in unison and moves in the same direction. In the case of the Ambassadors' Alliance, to work in unison means that each member—whether ambassador, embassy, or ally—shares the same biblically evangelistic purpose, goal, and vision.
Ambassadors' Academy:
The means through which Living Waters & Wayof the Master Australia will build this new alliance and train ambassadors to echo the call of the Great Commission is the Ambassadors' Academy. The Academy will be three days of intensive and fast-paced training and street evangelism under the teaching and leadership of John Legg (Director of Way of the Master Australia), and other hand pick leaders. Participants will also receive personalized mentoring from some of the best street evangelists and open-air preachers in Melbourne.
| Apply now for an upcoming Ambassadors' Academy. Each Academy will be limited to twenty participants. |
Associate Membership:
We understand that not everyone will be able to attend the Ambassadors' Academy. We also understand that not every
Christian attends a church where biblical evangelism is taught and practiced. We want to serve as a resource and an encouragement to every Christian, so the Ambassadors' Alliance will provide an associate membership.
An application for becoming an Associate Member will be available when the Ambassadors' Alliance is online and fully functional (later in, 2008).
We look forward to serving you and partnering with you through the Ambassadors' Alliance.
